Selenium shows short-term benefits only
Our study examined the effects of selenium in treating mild-to-moderate Graves' orbitopathy (GO) over five years. We followed 74 patients who took selenium or a placebo for six months, tracking their symptoms and quality of life.

Initially, selenium showed promise by reducing symptoms like blurred vision, with significant improvements over six months. However, when we looked at long-term outcomes after five years, both groups had similar results, indicating that while selenium may help in the short term, it doesn't contribute to lasting changes.

I give him 2 capsules daily in the morning. Selenium is vital for the cardiovascular system and thyroid gland. Our soils (Belarus, Ukraine, Russia) lack selenium, so garlic, which is believed to be rich in it, also lacks this element. We also ordered selenium in an organic form to support the heart, particularly affected by COVID-19. It's best taken in the morning, combined with iodine and zinc.
